Great site and great caps of the lovely Ronni!

Ronni is an excellent impersonator and comedienne. Very beautiful lady as well! I wrote to her some years ago and recieved a lovely signed photo!

Jut checked the site and saw the updates about her recent show. Can anyone tell me who she is impersonating in Gallery 14 6 rows down on the left. And is the blonde in Gallery 13 in front of the hollywood sign a real celebrity or her creation
[ Well the blonde is a creation: a generic Hollywood showbiz gossipmonger. As for the Gallery 14, 6 rows down, there are three different impressions - one of whom is Tom Cruise. ]

She has one of those names that I can never quite remember properly at the right time - loved the appearance on QI - need to see more Ronni ... funny, cute & dead sexy!

We did higher art together at Marr College and we had some laughs! But i know she cant be 38! As quoted by so many writers I am 41! Unless this is a different Ronnie.

I was so sorry to hear about Ronni's still birth, I gave birth to my beautiful baby Emily in september'06 and later was told she had Edwards Syndrome, which was fatal and I lost her 5 days later which destroyed me, but I held my head high and gave her a beautiful service to say goodbye and played the gorgeous song by Kathrine Jenkins (Time to say goodbye). We are nearly nine months on and I feel very up and down which is very normal but I think you will find strength in your daughter (Lilly)and see your beloved baby grow with her. xx

I first fell for Ronni in her wickedly-observed Posh Spice impressions - how that Mrs Beckham could dare appear on TV ever again after that ruthless demolition job I will never know. But that was even before I saw Ronni Ancona take the Chair in Have I Got News For You on Friday 24 November 2006. Not only did she look gorgeous, of course, but she handled the programme brilliantly and that is one of the hardest things to do in show business. She talked just the right amount, she could beat both Merton and Hislop for wit which few can do, she included a sudden Ruby Wax impression which was to die for, and I want her back in Angus Deayton's old slot as the permanent Chairman of HIGNFY. Once I thought Catherine Zeta-Jones was the best-looking woman in show business but I'm afraid, Kate, that Ronni has just deposed you. Perry G

On haveigot news for you last time as host she was fantastic. How can so a sexy and beautiful lady have a bottomless barrel of talent. Its almost unfair, but she deserves it as she comes over as such a nice person and id crawl over a mile of broken glass just to see her perform.

The thing that strikes me is that Ronni is so feminine, and this is so different in the current ladette culture. My absolute favourite comedienne.

Ronni's apparent lack of self-confidence is, I admit, quite alluring. But I really don't understand where it comes from. She is a beautiful, beautiful woman with an tremendous talent.

Wow! A real rarity - a woman who is an absolute scorcher but who is really funny as well.

Whenever i even just hear the name sven goran etc. I think of that brilliantly funny sketch where sven has returned home only to be wacked & sent sheepishly to his room! I really haven\'t stopped laughing over this sketch since it first appeared & for me it is the funniest thing i have seen on TV since Faulty Towers, Tommy Cooper & some of Ronnie Barkers sketches!! A remarkable talent & i would love to see you back again with Alastair Mcgowen. Most TV is terrible ( Catherine Tate etc,) so come back soon Ronni we need you more than ever xxx

It's been 2 years since I last commented on this board, and it's great to see that the site is still going. I've just watched the Big Impression Christmas special, and was once again very impressed with the range of Ronni's repertoire. I think the makeup and voice of Jordan was better than ever, I could have genuinely mistaken her for the real thing. How long before Ronni gets her own show?

I saw Ronni in Singin' in the rain a couple of days ago. She was fantastic and i would tell anyone who is a fan to see it!

i recently worked with ronni on the musical singin' in the rain. I was a part of of the team that had to film her for all the live video feeds on stage. She was really nice to work with and even funnier when u see the outtakes lol!!!!

This site's brilliant, Ronni doesn't get the recoignition she deserves, she's a great actress, great impressionist and great comedian! Keep up the great work.

There aren't many women on T.V. who just make your jaw drop because they are so stunning in a naturally beautiful sort of way, but who are also not trying to push that image down your throat. Wow. I'd just love to meet her in person.

Ronni is without doubt one of the most stunning looking women on TV at the moment. She is gorgeous...and I love her. I saw her in 1995 doing stand up round our way and she was lovely then too. I actually met her at a BBC party and proposed marriage to her but alas she politely declined...i have been inconsolable ever since... :-( 30FF Tits as well...can't be bad.

I love this type of comedy but its not that available in the U.S. (must be my British roots, I was born in Norwich. Does anyone out there know if her work is available on DVD or any format that vould be played in the states and where I might find it. Plus could some please post pictures of Ronni doing Friends stars.

She's just brilliant! And the sketches are so inventive. Alastair McGowan does a good Cary Grant so what they should do is a parody of charade which also starred George Kennedy. They could do a parody of Charade with George Kennedy in his Naked Gun role and which would naturally also include Frank Drebin!

I think Ronni is way better than alastair mcgowen and I love it when she does that vet and says \"te thing about cats..\" Gets me every time!!

ronnie is the best at any immpression, i ha ve watche the show since it started and it is always funny. i have been entertaining my friends with her, and alistairs immpressions, i can do tony blair, peggy mitchel, victoria b, dot cotton, and ruby wax. but enough about me, ronnie you are te best (whitch reminds me, on the alistair mcgowan website, thers a comment which clearly states that the show is rubbish, so why are they on the website?)

FYI - Ronni is due to appear in a 3-part BBC serial in July ("The Key"), supported by my niece Jaclyn (fantastic on Stars in their Eyes as Kate Bush) who plays Ronni as a teenager. Fame at last!

I am a new fan of Ronni and Alastair. I used to jokingly call Ronni, in the nicest way, "Ronni Anaconda" but she's bound to have heard that before. She is a very talented impressionist. One evening my flatmate was watching the Big Impression. It was the spoof of Rising Damp with Miss Jones as Catherine Zeta Jones. It shows how good an impressionist Alastair is that I at first thought Ronni had been merged Forrest Gump-style into old footage of Leonard Rossiter. Only when I glanced at his face did I realise it actually wasn't Leonard Rossiter. They're both very good and far better than any of the impressionists of yesteryear. The only criticism I have is that Alastair should leave the female impressions to Ronni. I saw the spoof of What Not To Wear on Christmas Day and, like Mike Yarwood, Alastair is no female impersonator, not that that's a bad thing (I mean, Ronnie Barker says he hated dressing as a woman for the Two Ronnies and Tim Brooke-Taylor says he only dressed ! as a woman for The Goodies because he got paid for it). However, Ronni is the biggest person to bear the name in light entertainment since the days of Messrs Corbett and Barker!

It's great to see a site dedicated to this talented woman, just seen the Christmas Special and her Little Mo from Eastenders was spot on. Aside from the comedy, the opening sequence to the Trinny/Susannah skit was a definite highlight.... I wrote to Ronni earlier on in the year, and was delighted to receive a short handwritten reply and signed picture. Obviously a polite woman who is prepared to make time for her fans. Long may she reign!

For a while in the 90s I was very friendly with Ronni until we lost touch (my moving to France for a year didn't help). I was the journalist who wrote her first ever big magazine profile and was introduced to her via a mutual friend. Partly because I knew how talented she was but also because I thought she was astoundingly beautiful and this site has brought that back. I don't see her on TV as much as I should. I won't divulge too much about her- if she is like she was then she is a very shy and private person. But I am sure she would not mind me saying that quite apart from the more obvious qualities, she was a sweet and thoroughly adorable person who I was very proud to know. Needless to say, I was smitten, and never once admitted it to her. I met her again, by chance, three years later at a BBC party and was chuffed to bits by the fact that she came up to me and asked where I'd been, what I'd been doing etc. One of the nicest, if not the nicest person I ever interviewed in showbiz.
